Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.
Interior Health is looking for a total of 1.4FTE Nurse Practitioners to join their team in Williams Lake!
Bring your clinical expertise and passion for providing quality and compassionate care to a challenging and rewarding role as a Nurse Practitioner. In this role specifically, NPs will care for patients who are deemed ALC (Alternate Level of Care). These patients often remain in acute settings while awaiting rehabilitation, transitional units, Long term care, etc. Whether on medical floor, convalescent or short stay, these patients are lower acuity, but still need fulsome support as they are often the frail elderly or stable complex patient. NPs will provide complete and supportive care for these medically stable designated patients with complex discharge requirements and facilitate successful transitions to thrive as they move toward their next destination or to their homes.
The Nurse Practitioner will assume the role of the Most Responsible Provider (MRP) during their care as part of this rewarding role.
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) cares for patients, who require care as follows:
• Convalescent care is provided to clients with defined and stable care needs who require a supervised environment for reactivation or recuperation, usually prior to discharge home, and most commonly following an acute episode of care.
• End of Life care is provided to clients who require support with comfort, dignity, and quality of life in the final days or weeks of their lives.
• Respite care provides a client’s main caregiver a period of relief, or to provide a client with a period of supported care to increase their independence.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience
• Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
