Position Summary
Interior Health is hiring for Occupational Therapists to support the teams in working primarily with adults in Golden Hospital, Community Care and Long-term Care. There is also a component that involves supporting pediatric care in the Golden region, so preference would be given to an OT who has some acute, &/or peds experience.
About us:
Interior Health has been named a Canada’s Top Employer! We offer a diverse range of careers, extensive benefits, and career growth opportunities and pathways. Well-being and work-life balance are promoted within the team, and our commitment to environmental sustainability supports our primary goal of increasing the health and well-being of everybody in our region.
About the position:
Occupational Therapists play a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to residents/clients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, an Occupational Therapist makes a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable residents/clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.
To maintain job readiness, the Occupational Therapist will be required to work several shifts in a 6-month period, on an ongoing basis. Shifts will be available Mondays through Thursdays; 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
What we offer:
We offer welcoming workplaces along with a range of benefits, services and policies to support you at every stage of your career.
Casual Employment Opportunities:
Embrace flexibility with casual day shift positions, offering a range from zero to 37.5 hours per week. Joining us in a casual role opens doors to internally posted openings, providing the opportunity to apply for permanent or temporary part-time or full-time positions. Interior Health values career growth and many success stories begin with casual on-call positions, evolving into a rewarding, long-term career.
Qualfications
