Position Summary
The Pharmacy team in Penticton is looking for a permanent full time Pharmacy Technician to join us.

Applicable positions may qualify for up to $15,000 as a recruitment incentive.


Penticton Regional Hospital is a 170-bed Acute Care facility in the beautiful South Okanagan of BC and is responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to surrounding population of approximately 90,000 people.

What will you work on?
As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in processing medication orders, ensuring their safety and accuracy within our healthcare facility. The responsibilities include receiving and verifying prescriptions from practitioners, preparing, and compounding medications, and conducting thorough checks on dispensed prescriptions. You'll also manage prescription transfers, maintain accurate drug and health information, oversee stock levels, and perform clerical duties. Your attention to detail will be critical in ensuring the safe distribution of medication orders to patients, clients, and residents.

Work Schedule:
This is a permanent full time rotating day shift position.

Qualfications
• Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
