Position Summary
Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) has an immediate permanent full-time Physiotherapist opening. Days of work are rotating and shift times are 07:00 to 16:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00 and 08:30 to 16:30. The position covers an acute medical unit, as well as floating to other acute medical and/or surgical units as needed. This position works one in every five weekends, covering a variety of acute medical and/or surgical units, which may include critical care.

About the position:

Physiotherapists play a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

KGH is a tertiary referral hospital and offers high-level, specialty medical care including 24 hour emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic/paramedical services. Specialty services include adult and adolescent psychiatry, outpatient nutrition, patient care quality officers, and cardiac surgery.

Qualfications
• Full registration as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
• Valid BC Driver’s license where required
