Position Summary
We are seeking a Casual Protection Services Clerk at Kelowna Community Health and Services Centre in Kelowna, BC.
Days of work: Rotating, Days, Evenings, Monday to Friday, some Saturdays
Shift times: 07:00 to 19:00

What will you work on?
• Provides clerical support to Protection, Services by performing duties such as liaising with various positions across IH regarding photo identification, taking photos, producing photo identification and access cards in accordance with established procedures, maintaining detailed records of all transactions, and ordering related supplies.
• Provides service to customers by performing duties such as receiving and processing requests for information, addressing and documenting routine customer complaints, identifying issues for management staff, and communicating urgent requests to appropriate management staff utilizing telephone and e-mail.
• Provides reception support by performing duties such as answering telephones, taking messages, drafting and sending e-mail and other written communications, responding to inquiries, greeting and directing visitors to appropriate individuals and scheduling appointments.
• Contacts various departments across IH and outside agencies (such as contracted security providers and municipalities) by telephone or correspondence for purposes such as providing and/or gathering required information and resolving routine issues. Refers any problems to the appropriate Protection, management team member.
• Types non-technical material such as correspondence, memos, agendas, minutes and spreadsheets using available software.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualfications
• Grade 12,
• Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience,
• Completion of a 5 min Typing Test 45 wpm or greater, dated within the past 48 months and must be issued from a valid institution only.
