Position Summary
Permanent 0.98FTE Speech-Language Pathologist vacancy in Vernon, British Columbia. This position is assigned to acute care at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH), Shuswap Lake General Hospital (SLH), in addition to outpatients at SLH in Salmon Arm. SLH is approximately 60km away from VJH.
Days of work are Monday to Friday, day shifts. Shift times are 08:45-16:45, 09:00-18:00 and 08:45-15:00.
Applicable positions may qualify for up to $15,000 as a recruitment incentive.

Join a dynamic and dedicated team of caring professionals as an autonomous professional who has expertise in typical development and disorders of communication/swallowing as well as assessment and intervention in these areas. The Speech-language Pathologist will work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with these people for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing for adults requiring this care. The Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education.

Qualfications
Full practicing registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC)
One year’s clinical experience with adults in a hospital setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. New grads are also welcome to apply
Valid BC Driver’s license required
