Warehouse Lead

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Store Warehouse Lead to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. As the Store Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing inventory, and leading a team of warehouse associates to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate records using inventory management systems
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity goals and maintain high-quality standards
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with store management to optimize warehouse layout and improve operational efficiency
• Coordinate with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or shipping delays
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance metrics and inventory status
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies

• 3-5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce logistics
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain management
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proven ability to make decisive decisions and solve problems efficiently
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid forklift certification
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

A significant output of physical effort is required through lifting, pulling, etc. Placement of merchandise and supplies of varying sizes weighing up to 20 kg without assistance and over 21 kg with team lifting.

Movement of freight by use of power equipment and manual equipment is required.
