Temporary Part-Time Aftercare Support Worker(s)
Schedule: 3:30-5:30 pm
Monday to Friday (Flexible on number of days per week)
Overall Responsibilities :
Responsible to act professionally and to support the school's safe, inclusive and accepting learning environment by being a positive role model at all times.
Responsible for carrying out duties assigned by the Facilitator of the Program or designate
Responsible for supporting the needs of all students enrolled in the aftercare program
Duties:
Facilitate and actively participate in daily afterschool activities, responding to children's needs and interests
Exchange information with parents regarding children's needs and schedules. Respond to parent questions and concerns about children's daily activities and behaviour
Administer first aid as required
Keep play areas, indoors and outdoors equipment orderly and aesthetically pleasing
Qualifications:
16 years of age or older
Employment experience related to working with children or youth preferred
Previous childcare program experience as asset
