The position is for a technical leader and senior cybersecurity analyst to join the Managed Detection and Response department.


What you will do

This role will focus primarily on two aspects: being an active player in enabling the team to remain the market leader in the MDR service through continuous service improvement in terms of tools, orchestration and automation of incident response, as well as escalation and response to complex incidents. In addition, this role will provide technical leadership to help improve process efficiency and facilitate knowledge transfer to team members. In this context, the senior analyst will have the chance to be exposed to the realities and challenges of Canadian organizations in relation to cybersecurity attacks.

 

Working with the team, you will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Technical team leader for escalation and analysis of major alerts/incidents
    Basic reactive threat hunting and anomaly investigation
  • Architecture and evolution of KPMG's MDR service, including automation and orchestration tools
  • Technical lead for the Artificial Intelligence component of alerts
  • Writing incident reports for customers
  • Be a key player in the continuous improvement process
  • Interact with customers on ongoing investigations and continuous improvement of their cybersecurity posture
  • Establish and maintain a relationship of trust with our customers
  • Enhance team members' technical skills to increase their efficiency, autonomy and ability to analyze complex alerts
  • Provide technical support to Level 1 analysts in their decision-making and for any questions they may have

What you bring to the role

  • Have at least a Technical diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • At least 7 years' experience in IT
  • Complementary experience with scripting languages, systems administration and complex IT environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French
  • IT certifications (networking and cybersecurity)
  • Ability to communicate with customers
  • Technically curious and constantly seeking to improve skills
  • Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within an MDR department is an asset
