Why do we need a web tech lead in a company like ours?

The personalized approach we offer is possible thanks to the specialized design software and unique web applications that we develop in-house. More specifically, our web applications are communication portals that allow us to exchange quickly, efficiently and securely with hospitals and physicians as well as with members of our internal design and production teams. These portals are critical in the exchange of a range of clinical and confidential information with our clients (medical imaging, patient data, treatment scenarios, etc.) as well as in monitoring the manufacturing progress of patient cases throughout our production process.

The tech lead is the technical cornerstone of our web team. In collaboration with our CIO, he ensures that the company's web needs are translated into innovative, efficient and viable technical solutions. With his in-depth knowledge of best practices in web development and architecture, he plays a key role in the design, development and implementation of our centralized web platform.

What are the main responsibilities of the position:

• Actively participate in the design of our centralized web platform’s architecture in collaboration with our CIO;
• Collaborate with internal teams (production, sales, 3D and AI development) to translate their respective operational and commercial needs into efficient and innovative technical solutions;
• Provide technical leadership to the web development team and act as a coach to other developers in the team;
• Ensure the development of robust back-end applications ensuring an optimal, scalable and secure performance, while guaranteeing a smooth and intuitive front-end experience;
• Keep up to date with best practices and new technologies appearing in the market in order to optimize the systems in place and make them more efficient;
• Plan the roadmap and coordinate sprints and backlog using agile methods;
• Ensure the quality and validity of the code developed by ensuring that the team performs appropriate testing and code reviews;
• In collaboration with other team members, ensure that the cloud environment continues to meet the development and security standards applicable to our industry.
