Job SummaryLaboratory Assistant - Sample Processing - Student
As a Laboratory Assistant for our Sample Management department at the Senneville location, you will be responsible for handling frozen study samples, while ensuring that all samples received are accounted for, and well stored. This role, allows the laboratory to have all samples required for analysis in a timely and organized manner.
In this role, primary responsibilities include:
- Perform reception, verification and storage of samples;
- Prepares samples for analysis in the laboratories;
- Ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) rules;
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:
- High school diploma;
- Evidence of flexibility and ability to work independently;
- Basic working knowledge of computers;
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes;
- 1-2 years of relevant experience is an asset.
Role Specific Information:
- Location: 22022 Trans-Canada Highway, Senneville (QC) H9X 1C1
- Pay: $16,75 per hour
- Schedule: Saturday (8 AM - 4 PM) with option do work more days if desired
- Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. If you come by car, we also have free parking.

About Safety Assessment
Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
