Job Summary

As an Analyst for our Molecular Biology team located at the Senneville site, you will perform sample analysis work in a laboratory environment, perform data analysis to determine if results meet expectations and record data in accordance with company policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.


In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform a variety of DNA and RNA purification assays as well as qPCR and RT-qPCR assays on platforms such as Quantstudio, QXone (ddPCR), Maxwell, Quantigen, and Nanostring
  • Perform method development, validation, and sample analysis testing
  • Document and process analytical data according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Work in collaboration with scientific staff to optimize methods
Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

  • Holder of a DEC in Science (Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory, or equivalent) or a BAC in Science (Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry)
  • Ability to work under time constraints, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to adapt to changes
  • Work with precision, pay attention to detail and strive for quality work
  • Self-starter with a collaborative and positive attitude
  • Reading comprehension in English is mandatory. Bilingualism in French and English is preferred

Role Specific Information

  • Location: Senneville / Free parking / Free shuttle service from Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site
  • Salary: Starting at 23$/hrs
  • Annual bonus based on performance
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:15pm. Depending on business needs, you may have to do overtime
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week

About Safety Assessment
Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market.
