Lakeland Catholic School Division is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and creative educator to join Assumption Jr/Sr High School on a probationary contract for the 2024 - 2025 School Year , with the opportunity for a continuous contract thereafter. Situated amidst the serene landscapes of east-central Alberta, Cold Lake harmonizes picturesque landscapes, thrilling outdoor pursuits, and a rich military heritage. Assumption Jr/Sr High School takes pride in nurturing approximately 630 students from Grades 7 through 12.

The ideal candidate will be entrusted to:

Create an environment wherein a faith community is fostered as an integral component of the school;

Demonstrate active participation in parish life and the ministry of the church;

Nurture a collaborative approach in working together with staff, students, the school council, and the overall community;

Support and uphold a strong vision for achieving academic success for every student;

Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills conducive to enhancing trust and the creation of a sense of family within the staff, the school, and the community;

Support inclusive educational practices to maximize educational opportunities for all students;

Be supportive, proactive, and assistive in the achievement of goals in a service-oriented environment;

Completion of a Bachelor of Education Degree;

Interested and qualified applicants are asked to submit a cover letter indicating their interest and an updated resume to Chantel Axani, Deputy Superintendent. Resume will highlight personal and professional qualifications, relevant teaching experience, most recent professional evaluation, and three current references. Submitting a written pastoral reference would be considered an asset.
