Posting Overview :

Under the direction of the Coordinator of Application Services, the Client Support Technologist is to provide training, analysis, technical and administrative support to all users of the student information system. The primary function of the job will be to maintain and technically support all school administrative applications. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience :

• University degree or three-year Community College Diploma with an emphasis on computer studies is a minimum;

• 2-3 years related experience in client support is required;

• thorough knowledge of computer software and an understanding of programming languages and databases;

• investigates, identifies, and resolves technical problems in the student information system software by possessing an ability to analyze problems quickly and recommend an immediate solution;

• understanding of vendor application releases and application testing;

• advanced knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Products such as Excel, Word, Publisher, Project, Access, OneNote, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and Teams;

• experience with writing and updating student information procedure documentation;

• understanding of school board procedures and ministry guidelines;

• knowledge of school administrative procedures;

• excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication and programming skills are required;

• working effectively as part of a team;

• attend meetings when required.

Position Effective Date & Length :

Home location to be determined.

Permanent, CUPE 12-month, 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day

Level 5 - $30.64 - $32.39
