Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a crew of heavy equipment operators and labourers
  • Interface with the client and other contractors on site
  • Ensure site safety by maintaining a hazard-free environment and enforcing compliance with Ledcor’s health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Coordinate work activities with the client, contractors, and other forepersons to ensure smooth project execution
  • Plan and manage resources, equipment, and labour to keep operations efficient
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure work is completed safely within regular hours and meets deadlines
  • Resolve on-site challenges and proactively manage work sequencing

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in a civil construction environment
  • Demonstrated strong experience in operating a range of heavy equipment to finishing grade
  • Must successfully complete a full pre-access medical including a drug and alcohol test
  • Valid Driver’s License and Driver's Abstract
  • CSTS-2020
  • Ground Disturbance Level 2
  • Rigging Level 1 (basic rigging)

Work Conditions:

  • Project to commence in April 2025
  • Work schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off (10-12 hour shifts)
  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC
  • This is a local position-candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton area. No camp accommodations or travel allowances provided
