Living Sky School Division is looking for a new talent to join us as we reinvent the future of education. This posting is for a Permanent Full-time Journeyperson Carpenter, commencing as soon as possible. Position hours are 40 hours per week, 10 hours per day/4 days per week.

The successful candidate will have a journeyperson certificate, with a Red Seal endorsement considered an asset. This person should have a thorough knowledge of building infrastructures, codes and hold a valid class 5 driver’s license. Preference will be given to individuals who have proven skills and abilities with a safety focus and a minimum of five-years’ experience. Must hold or be willing to obtain the WHIMIS certification.

Candidates should be able to self-manage while maintaining a positive and supportive attitude in a collaborative team environment as well as have the physical capabilities to perform the work. This position may be required to work flexible hours and/or compressed weeks. Travel is required to all schools within the division.

The hourly wage for this position is $35.08. A comprehensive benefits plan and a matched pension are included and in accordance with the current CUPE agreement.
