Join our dynamic team of experienced SLPs located at the Living Sky School Division centrally located in beautiful Saskatchewan. The SLP team offers flexible caseload management with ongoing and frequent collaboration. Supervision and mentorship opportunities are available for new grads for CSASK and ASHA. The successful candidate will be able to:
Perform hearing screens to all Pre-K clients.
Provide direct therapy to Clients
Provide and support and training to build capacity with the teachers and educational assistants; to assist with the application of strategies consistent with the students developmental planUnderstand and support the Response to Intervention (RTI)
Recommend suitable materials to schools and parents
Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., occupational therapist, educational psychologist, audiologist, ASD team, etc.)
Consult with teachers to support assessment findings and assist with individual program planning
Advocate on behalf of students with communication disorders and populations that are at risk
Practice within CSASK Professional Code of Ethics
Applicants must possess a masters degree in Speech & Language Pathology and be eligible for membership in CSASK. Experience working with children and youth in an educational setting would be an asset, as well as an aptitude towards working with assistive technology. This position involves travel to schools within the school division and a valid drivers license and dependable vehicle is required.
