Salary Range (Commensurate with experience) :

Group 7, $93,648 to $106,419

Reporting to the Executive Manager of Capital Projects, the Capital Project Supervisor provides a variety of services, support, and training to address the system-wide capital projects space and data needs of the LDCSB staff and students. These include, but are not limited to, facilities planning, project planning, project management, contract administration services and assist in supervising capital projects. The incumbent will also assist in maintaining space databases for the board, maintaining the Ministry mandated ECIS database, portable lease data, maintaining eBase/Drawbase, and assist in supervising capital projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Post-Secondary, 3 - year diploma/degree in Architectural Technology, engineering Technologist, Electrical (Building) or Mechanical (HVAC) Design Program.

2 years post-Secondary education in Building Technology and/or Certified Trade through the Ministry of Skills and Training and includes relevant industry experience.

A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience supervising people in construction projects in a related field

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience in the development of building design for new construction, renovation and building systems such as mechanical, electrical, network, fire alarm and building automation systems.

Experience in renovation projects and managing multiple priorities and projects concurrently.

Detailed knowledge of building codes, and municipal fire regulations

Specialized computer skills including databases, project management and electronic drawings.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or REVIT (Preferred)

ECIS Database software (Preferred)

EBase software (Preferred)

Energy Management Certification (Preferred)

Health & Safety Certification (Preferred)

Excellent problem solving, analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently in an organized manner, and collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality and security.

Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license (Full “G” License).
