the following information is posted for the attention of clerical staff:
George Davison School - . 4 FTE
Herald School - .2 FTE
. 6 FTE Library Assistant
22.5 Hours per week

George Davidson and Herald Schools are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and student-centered individual to fill a 0.6 FTE part-time Librarian position.
George Davison School is built upon the implementation of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and the successful candidate should embody Ross Greene's philosophy, If kids could, they would. These foundational principles along with an embedded Collaborative Response Model guide our work to coherently respond to the learning needs of our students and ensure that structures and processes are in place to support an inclusive learning environment.
Herald School is an inclusive Kindergarten through Grade 6 school and hosts the MHPSD Specialized Middle School Program with a population of approximately 170 students. Herald School is dedicated to preparing students for happy and successful lives as ethical citizens and engaged thinkers.
Main duties will include taking leadership in organizing and maintaining the school library, facilitating literacy themes and book fairs, and assisting students and staff with accessing library resources. Preference will be given to applicants who have previous library experience, previous experience with the integrated library software systems, and proficiency using Microsoft Office. This individual will also value a student-centered focus and a positive team/collaborative approach. The successful candidate must be aligned with the values and vision of George Davidson and Herald Schools and Medicine Hat Public School Division.
