Newmont North America operations are located in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec with roles in operations, projects, and exploration. Regional Support is provided from our office in Vancouver.

Your Impact

Newmont is now recruiting for the position of Business Assistant Executive, offering a competitive base salary between $77,000-$88,000, along with an additional short-term incentive. The final salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, while also considering internal equity. This is a hybrid role, with a combination of working from home and onsite at our Vancouver hub, and includes travel to our mine site as required by the role.

As a Business Assistant at Newmont, you will provide high-level administrative support to our executive team, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency. Your expertise in organization, communication, and problem-solving will help drive productivity and operational success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role. The position will also require travel to our mine site, as needed, based on the demands of the role

As part of our team you will

Manage complex calendars and schedule meetings across multiple time zones.
Coordinate travel, itineraries, and expense reporting.
Organize large-scale meetings, securing conference rooms, catering, and technical support.
Keep executives informed with timely announcements, newsletters, and reports.
Support fellow administrative professionals during peak periods or absences.
Prioritize tasks and manage shifting deadlines with discretion and professionalism

Training & Experience

5+ years of experience as an executive assistant, administrative professional, or in a related role.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field (preferred).
Exceptional organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high emotional intelligence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Experience with global travel coordination and multi-currency expense reporting is a plus.
