As the Maintenance Electric Supervisor - Back-up, you will play a key role in supervising and executing electrical work during relief shifts, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of the mine's electrical operations. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities related to the construction and maintenance of electrical installations, while addressing operational priorities and adhering to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Description
  • Manage electrical maintenance and construction activities during relief shifts, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with day teams to ensure a smooth transition between shifts and maintain continuity of electrical projects and operations.
  • Develop and validate estimates for underground electrical work in coordination with the mechanical and electrical planner as well as the responsible engineer.
  • Ensure that electrical installations comply with the Electrical Code and internal requirements.
  • Provide maintenance expertise for critical equipment such as fans, compressors, hoists, bolters, mast drills, pumping systems, and more.
  • Identify and address technical issues encountered during the relief shift, while proposing solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Supervise and support employees assigned to the relief shift, ensuring their safety and promoting their professional development.
  • Respond effectively to operational emergencies and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Ensure that health and safety rules and procedures are rigorously followed by the relief team.
  • Contribute to key initiatives, such as improving electrical systems and deploying new technologies.
  • Perform any other related tasks as required by operational needs.
Requirements
  • University or college degree in a relevant field;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in electrical maintenance within the mining sector;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role;
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including the SAP maintenance software;
  • Bilingualism.
Working Conditions
  • Work schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest
  • Éléonore mine site (round-trip flights from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
