Purpose


Reporting directly to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent, the E/I - Planner role is to work with the Maintenance team to improve workforce productivity and quality by collaborating with operations to eliminate potential delays throughout the entire operation.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule, obtain procured materials and contracted services as required.
  • Prepare and prioritize Electrical and Instrumentation work aligned with the operational requirements.
  • Plan capacity for support teams including Fire Tech, Gas Fitters, and Automation Technicians to support both surface and underground.
  • Filter, prioritize, and arrange for the approval of work requests from all sources.
  • Review existing systems and identify areas for improvement in the areas of scalability, maintainability, and performance
  • Populate schedules for E&I backlog and support teams as required.
  • Perform other planning duties including the development of safe work packages.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge in electrical technology with an Electrical Technologist degree or equivalent experience in the Electrical field
  • Five to ten years of progressively responsible experience in a maintenance/ planning role.
  • Experience working with vendors, consultants, and other contracted service providers.
  • Directs the resolution of business problems applying analytical thought and judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership qualities, experience, and the ability to achieve results through others.
  • Proficient with SAP and work order structure.
  • Electrician Red Seal preferred.
  • Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions, and take action.
  • Influences business through improved understanding of technology issues, balances competing priorities within maintenance and technology groups.
Working Conditions


This position will be a fly in fly-out site-based role and the schedule is flexible (4x3-7x7 or 14x14)
