Electrician surface services

Reporting to the Surface Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, you will be responsible for preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, including diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs in Electricity of all surface electrical equipment.

You will also be responsible for maintenance of a 120 kV electrical substation, a 25 kV transmission grid and medium voltage distribution equipment (25 kV, 4.16 kV and 600 V). You will participate in the improvement and optimization of the electrical equipment with the objective of improving health and safety, increasing equipment reliability and reducing maintenance costs. You will also have to apply various procedures with the goal of achieving the highest levels in health, safety and environmental protection. Comply with, know and promote the regulations and company policies, particularly in health and safety.

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and plans in order to determine the location of industrial electrical equipment.
• Update the technical documents and drawings (annotated in red).
• Diagnose, repair and resolve problems related to electrical equipment.
• Install, replace and repair electrical and electronic equipment.
• All tasks related to your duties.

• Diploma of Vocational Studies in Electricity.
• The position requires at least five (5) years’ experience in electrical maintenance.
• You must hold a C licence in electricity.
• Knowledge of medium voltage (an asset).
• Knowledge of information technology. MS Office Suite, PI, SAP (an asset).
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence (mandatory).

• Ability to analyze and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ease in reading engineering plans and supplier documents.
• Organizational agility and teamwork in a multicultural environment
• Adaptability and good communication.

• Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest
• Eleonore Mine Site (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
