Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. Your Impact

As a Processing Superintendent, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring safe, efficient, and optimized ore processing operations at Red Chris Mine. You will oversee production planning, plant maintenance coordination, and the integration of new infrastructure, all while driving operational excellence and aligning with corporate strategies.

As Part of Our Team, You Will


• Lead safety initiatives by enforcing risk management programs, hazard identification, and compliance with BC mining regulations.
• Oversee daily processing operations and delivering a 3 month rolling plan, ensuring production targets are met while optimizing plant performance.
• Manage operational transitions between ore sources (open pit, stockpile, block cave) and support the commissioning of new processing infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, working closely with reliability, planning, and execution teams to ensure minimal downtime.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, aligning processing operations with long-term mine objectives and Full Potential initiatives.
• Facilitate full potential projects to enhance safety, efficiency, and production output.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a strong safety culture and developing talent, including local Tahltan personnel.
• Manage financial health, optimizing budgets, capital expenditures, and cost controls within processing operations.
• Ensure environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance, addressing regulatory gaps and maintaining best practices.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

• 5-10 years of experience in ore processing, preferably in large-scale copper/gold operations.
• Leadership experience managing operational teams in a mining environment.
• Technical expertise in mine-to-mill optimization and ore processing strategies.
• Project management skills (PMI, IPMA preferred) to oversee small capital projects and operational transitions.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across various departments.
• Knowledge of BC mining laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and advanced English proficiency.

• Location: Red Chris Mine, British Columbia
• Schedule: Rotation-based work schedule with camp accommodations provided.
• Team: Lead a team of 4 direct and 30 indirect reports in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
