Description
Our International Program English Instructors will have an opportunity to teach Elementary and/or Secondary students through the Niagara Catholic District School Board’s Integration Experience Program which offers visiting students a valuable educational experience through intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) and learning and integration within a Canadian school.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Instruct English language to international children and teenagers in after-school programs virtually and/or in-person throughout the year
Coordinate classroom activities that promote language development
Evaluate student progress using entry and exit language assessments
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-racial environment with respect and sensitivity towards all learners
Strong communication skills, which includes computer proficiency
A high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to travel to various locations within the Niagara Catholic District jurisdiction
WHAT YOU BRING:
University Degree in a related field
A minimum Standard 1 TESL Certificate or English as a Second Language (ESL) Part 1 or higher
Previous training and/or experience instructing English
DURATION: Various start and end dates from throughout the year
HOURS: 5 to 30 hours (various start and end times) depending on program needs
