TEACHER - LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)
ST. GREGORY, OUR LADY OF FATIMA & ST. LUKE
1.0 FTE
0.4 FTE Our Lady of Fatima - Primary Prep (Monday & Tuesday)
0.4 FTE St. Gregory - Primary, Junior Music and Phys Ed Prep (Wednesday & Thursday)
0.2 FTE St. Luke - ELK and Intermediate English Prep (Friday)
Effective immediately
for an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 27, 2025
Mandatory Requirements:
· Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate Divisions
Preferred Requirements:
· Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions
· Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
· Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
· Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
· Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
· Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
· Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
· Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
· Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
· Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
· Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset
