We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our
team at Lakeview Public School .
Lakeview Public School is a community school located at 35 Corkstown Road, off Carling Avenue near Andrew Haydon Park. We offer Bilingual Kindergarten (Year 1 and 2) and Early French Immersion instruction from Grade 1 to 6. We do not offer a regular English program. As a French Immersion Centre, we encourage an environment that is conducive to the development of second language skills. Our school operates under a Balanced School Day which means that the Grade 1 to 6 students have two 120 minute periods of uninterrupted learning.
Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton
District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of
education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive
school climate, learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to
work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity
perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well-being.

This posting is open to all Occasional Teachers who DO NOT already have a part time contract.

Please be advised that our order of consideration for permanent contracts is as follows: current internal permanent elementary contract teacher applicants, current elementary occasional teacher applicants, and then qualified external applicants.

French language freeze continues to be in effect. Therefore, if you accept any teaching percentage of French contract, you may only be
considered for other French contract positions.
