Need:

We are looking for a recognized Leader to lead our growth strategy and sales for our Infrastructure Market Line in the Greater Toronto Region (Roads / Highways / Water and Transit) and Canada relating to Transit. This Market Line includes design, planning, program and construction management, and environmental services for Transportation and Water projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing external customer focused strategies to increase our business line market share and build our brand within this important region. As a key member of the business development management team, you will provide overall leadership to achieve sustainable and profitable growth within the Greater Toronto Area Region and for Canada as related to Transit. Through leadership and collaboration with local Area managers, this position is responsible for maintaining and growing Parsons reputation as the leader in the infrastructure industry, including developing and growing the geographic market by effectively partnering with top customer/agency leaders and forming strategic industry alliances.

This position is based in our Oakville office with required travel between Canadian Client Offices and the Greater Toronto Regional Parson offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast of overall business trends, particularly the current business climate.
  • Leverage your key contacts within private organizations and Provincial / Federal agencies to proactively develop project opportunities and to better understand their economic spend.
  • Build and implement effective sales/marketing long term business and marketing strategies to drive market growth in alignment with Parsons strategic and financial goals.
  • Manage complex win strategies and proposal efforts that entail both conventional/traditional contract and procurement methods as well as alternative project delivery methods.
  • Work closely with the local operational staff to further develop and enhance a business development culture.
  • Report and coordinate with the Canadian Sector Business Development Leader and work with other Canadian Business Development individuals to maximize Canadas Infrastructure’s overall growth goals.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-secondary degree in related field and 20+ years of broad and diversified experience within the Transportation Infrastructure industry in Canada and specifically the Greater Toronto region.
  • Proven leader in client relationship management, strategic planning, strategic teaming and proposal strategy and negotiation.
  • Successful track record of pursuing and winning traditional Design/Bid/Build & Alternative Delivery Transportation projects.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Requires a working knowledge of infrastructure industry business practices and the negotiation of contracts. Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with business development.
