Peace Wapiti Public School Division is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. We invite applications for a Temporary Full-Time Indigenous Education Services Provider . (35 hours per week, effective the 2024/2025 school year, with the possibility of extension)
Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate to join the Indigenous Education Services Team by providing support at Beaverlodge Regional High School. This role focuses on improving Indigenous student experience by fostering meaningful connections with Indigenous students, learning opportunities for all students, and collaborating with staff in a leadership capacity. The successful candidate will require the ability to connect with students in a professional manner, work within the unique dynamics of a school environment, provide connections to culture and community resources, and facilitate presentations. They also require an openness to collaborate on research. While assigned to Beaverlodge Regional High School, this position is a part of the Indigenous Education Services Divisional Team. The supervision of the role will be shared by the School Principal and the Indigenous Education Services Coordinator.
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, Indigenous Studies or a related field is required. (Applicants who do not meet the educational requirements may be considered at an alternate classification.)
Experience in an Indigenous community is preferred.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $56,785.00 to $73,007.16 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Applicants who do not meet the educational requirement may be considered at an alternate classification/salary grid.
The salary is based on 1,400 hours of work per school year and will be prorated accordingly for assignments that start mid-school year.
Hours of Work: The working schedule for this position roughly follows the school year calendar with 1,400 hours of work per school year (Monday to Friday, 7 hours/day).
