École Arthur Meighen is a kindergarten to grade 8 French Immersion school with student enrollment of approximately
470 children and professional staff of 58.
We provide authentic learning experiences for all students through a collaborative system of support that values
diversity, and encourages resilient, responsible learners.
The Portage la Prairie School Division strives to recognize the individual needs of our students and to provide
students with the opportunity to undertake school experiences in both official languages that will contribute to
the development of their full potential.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate Degree in Education
- Graduate Degree in Education or related field
- Administrator Certification
- Bilingual French/English
- Minimum of five years exemplary teaching experience, preferably at the early/elementary level
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate school-based development, including educational change for the
development of student success with focus on literacy and numeracy in child-centered classrooms
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Stong commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive and positive school environment
- Strong instructional knowledge-base and administrative technology skills to support development
- Demonstrated experience in promoting and sustaining a collaborative school culture in which unique needs and
diversity are respected, integrated and celebrated
- Strong time management and organizational skills that demonstrate self-motivation and initiative
- Knowledge and experience in PBIS is considered an asset
