Job Description
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large sized projects in a highly technical environment. Candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability, and can apply the competency in new or complex situations. You will be responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery - planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support.
What do you need to succeed?
Elicit and analyze Business requirements and create documentation such as current and future state business process, user stories, data catalogues, business rules, use cases and user interface design.
Contribute to requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out priorities and meet quarterly and annual business objectives. Work collaboratively with our business partners and stakeholders from multiple IT teams (i.e. source systems).
Analyze and review different options for data integration and provide recommendations on the solution; such as assessing and defining materiality of data quality issues and possible impact to project objectives.
Contribute to data model development, data transformation, system architecture decisions and system to system interfacing, controls and error handling techniques.
Incorporate enterprise standard requirements methodology in requirements planning, analysis and documentation.
Manage performance through regular coaching discussions, providing transparency on where the employees are at from a performance perspective.
Support User Acceptance Testing by supporting planning, development of test cases and execution of tests. Communicate effectively, written and verbal, to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
Must Have:
1-2+ Years of Insurance or Financial industry experience.
Experience working with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid Methodologies with leadership capabilities and Strong knowledge of these frameworks, and best practices (Agile, Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, inquisitive nature, and comfortable challenging status quo.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders in various roles, identification of scope, enforcement of change management processes while maintaining strong relationships.
Experience working to with tools like Jira & Confluence. Some Knowledge or previous experience on Ingenium application will be a huge plus.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Nice to Have:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related (technical) degree/diploma
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute Professional in Business Analysis (PMI PBA) Certification
Experience analyzing data using SQL, API, XML and JSON message structures.
Strong knowledge of fundamental data concepts (for example, but not limited to groups, hierarchies, data structures).
Experience working with ML or AI tools
