What is the opportunity?

Make an impactful change within Royal Trust, you will lead key aspects of the employee experience! From professional development to employee engagement to talent management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture. Be part of the Royal Trust Operating Committee, making strategic decisions for our business.

What will you do?

  • The development, maintenance of delivery of accreditation and learning plans, and key learning and development tools and programs that promote a continuous learning environment to develop and improve staff capabilities.
  • Overall behavioural and technical competencies of all RT staff (working with subject matter experts to ensure adherence and compliance with the law and practices of all relevant jurisdictions)
  • Critical assessment of existing learning and accreditation plans, courses and content and identification of future components that build technical and behavioural competencies, enabling the achievement of strategic and business objectives for the superior knowledge and acumen of RT staff across the country
  • Critical assessment and review of learning paths for each role within RT as against position mandates and overall strategic vision
  • Engagement with internal and external facilitators and providers
  • Creation and ongoing maintenance of the Royal Trust Career Framework
  • Coordination and standardization of all role mandate within the business, including new mandate development and alignment of job postings to mandates.
  • Works closely with HR business partners to roll out HR led initiatives.
  • Communication and coordination regarding Employee Engagement Surveys and related follow up/action plans
  • Leads coordination of employee engagement initiatives nationally for the business, including national campaigns like Employee Appreciation Week, Employee Giving Campaign, Reward and Recognition programs, etc.
  • Leads creation of common job performance goals by role (common goals that are nationally applied by role)
  • Liaise with Change Management and Client Experience teams for employee engagement considerations as part of new national initiatives and programs.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning, organization, analytical and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, learning & development, or related fields
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Demonstrated teaming, professional partnering and leveraging abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with others but also able to manage independently
  • High degree of digital literacy and experience using industry standard software
  • Project management skills
  • University degree, adult learning knowledge, estate and trust product knowledge/TEP designation

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated coaching, mentoring and leadership skills
  • Civil law experience
  • French language abilities
