What is the opportunity?

RBC US IT Regulatory PMO GCS; is seeking a Project Director to manage US regulator projects with specific support to 1st Line of Defense and Global Cyber Security (GCS). This role will Lead, direct, and oversee activities on planning, delivery, and implementation to ensure enterprise-wide program strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget.

What will you do?

  • Lead Projects end-to-end - project delivery of initiatives from initiation through to post-implementation review as required. Facilitate decision-making and develop risk-mitigated strategies to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Implement Change Management - Provide support for the transformational change management initiatives that can impact the RBC Channels. Exhibit good regulation acumen and judgment in the formulation of recommendations to foresee and mitigate high-impact issues and complexities.
  • Foster Center of Excellence & Continuous Improvement enable CoE for US Regulatory PMO aligning with Enterprise Standards in a dynamic environment.
  • Build Relationships - Build ongoing partnerships with key partners across the business, including product, technology, marketing, and operations. Work closely with various teams towards a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree in Business
  • Extensive 10+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 7+ years in regulatory projects with 2-3 years durations and >$20MM project funding in technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills proven ability to communicate at Senior Management/ Executive levels, including proven ability to manage challenging conversations
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Macros,
  • 5+ years of People leadership experience

Nice-to-have

  • Qualification in project management methodologies and lifecycle with project framework certification (PMP/PMA).
  • FFIEC regulator examiner experience
