What is the opportunity?

As the Senior Director, Brand Marketing ESG, you will create an ecosystem to build and implement an always-on approach to integrated marketing through paid, earned, shared and owned (PESO) media that will propel RBCs visible leadership in ESG. You will lead the development and expert execution of high-impact campaigns across priority ESG portfolios, including existing and emerging programs supporting priorities across the organization (e.g. Future Launch, Climate). In this role you will also provide insight, advice, and leadership to Brand, Marketing & Corporate Communications (BMCC) teams and leaders, and act as a steward of brand standards to ensure outputs are delivered in a consistent RBC voice.

Please note that the location for this position is Toronto. This position requires a hybrid working arrangement.

What will you do?

  • Lead the strategic development and effectiveness of RBCs marketing efforts surrounding ESG, delivering on KPIs, while demonstrating the power of RBCs Purpose Framework commitments in a differentiated and ownable way
  • Drive integration of BMCC marketing and communications leaders and federated partners to advance a coordinated and optimized approach to marketing strategies
  • Provide strategic counsel to VP Brand Marketing and BMCC leadership on opportunities for RBC to differentiate itself from other brands in ESG space
  • Establish the enterprise ESG integrated campaign and initiative roadmap to enable awareness and effective planning across BMCC teams
  • Lead the development and introduction of new ideas and execution strategies that improve performance and keep pace with emerging trends and opportunities
  • Provide clear, strong leadership and support to virtual teams, Creative Partners, LOB marketing channels, and other RBC partners in order to maximize marketing outcomes
  • Coach to ensure all team members thrive in a high-performance environment

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to deliver successful results largely through impact and influence
  • Deep understanding of RBCs ESG portfolios and programs with an understanding of reputational risk drivers
  • Experience executing large campaigns or programs across a matrixed organization
  • Experience in planning and executing integrated marketing solutions that are both accurate and on budget
  • Best in class integrated marketing and communications vision, innovation, creativity and results

Nice-to-have

  • Canadian Marketing Association Advanced Marketing Certificate
