Description
Under the direction of the Learning Support Director, the Learning Support Coordinator will provide quality educational services to Learning Support students and their parents in a home learning setting. They will be working alongside teachers, parents, and other team members to plan and implement the student's LSP (Learning Support Plan) or IEP (Individual Education Plan).
This 0.3 - 0.5 FTE with potential to increase the ongoing component for suitable candidates.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
A teacher certified by the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools.? A teacher who enjoys the opportunity to support families who have chosen to educate their children in a home learning environment. Should possess experience in learning support or related field. Training or experience in, and ability to adapt and support others in adapting general education curriculum as well as create IEP & Learning Support Plans.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience and education related to working with individuals who have Learning Support needs. This could include but is not limited to, Learning Disabilities, and Behaviour or Mental Health concerns. Applicants should be familiar with writing IEP and LSPs with SMART goals and be committed to the timely intervention to help the student succeed.
REMUNERATION
$14,916.30 - $41,695.00 depending on the specific FTE assigned and placement on the pay scale.
