Description
Candidate will repair company equipment and building in a safe, timely, cost-effective and practical manner. The Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled worker in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all components of plant equipment.
Responsibilities:

Diagnose, build, rebuild, and repair all parts of equipment, mechanical, electrical systems.

Establish maintenance processes and procedures.

Perform repairs, including emergency repairs in the field.

Inspect buildings, equipment and systems for stability, quality and safety.

Maintain inventory and order supplies and parts.
-
Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarms and other building systems.

Execute gas and electric welding.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Complete equipment maintenance records and ensure that preventative maintenance is complete

Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic systems, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.

Trouble shoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on lift trucks, plant equipment or secondary component parts and systems

Welding and fabricating to repair and build plant equipment.

Plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry and pump rebuilding and repair.
Requirements:

Valid driver’s license required.
-
Problem solving aptitude.
-
Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
-
Ability to stand, kneel, sit, for long periods of time and lift up-to 50lbs.

Minimum 1-year experience in a mechanical role with knowledge in hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, general carpentry and motors.

Knowledge and understanding of OHSA rules and regulations as well as the proper handling of hazardous material.

Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Demonstrate safety conscious behaviors – knowledge and experience with 5S considered an asset.

Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, hand trucks, drill presses, grinders, conveyors, gas welding, brazing or cutting apparatus, and various other heavy equipment.

Ability to work in an environment that includes exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, noise level, and outside weather conditions.

Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and with the aid of a respirator when necessary.
