0.4 FTE position in the area of Speech and Language Pathologist.

This is a temporary contract position.
This position is effective September 3, 2024 and will continue until June 27, 2025.
While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry.
The starting annual salary for a school teacher position ranges from $60,000 to $110,000, with placement on the range based on the length of service and qualifications in accordance in accordance with the collective agreement. Positions of Special Responsibility receive an additional pay allowance in accordance with the collective agreement based on the levels 1, 2, or 3.

Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience working in a school setting
Experience with augmentative communication systems, integrating technology in a school setting, Apraxia of speech and emergent literacy skills.
Duties: This position involves provision of speech and language services to schools for children in Kindergarten through to Grade 10. The successful candidate will work as part of a school based team and be involved in all aspects of the speech and language process, including screenings, initial and continuing evaluations, assessment and progress reports, development of student IEP's and delivery of intervention services. The year-end focus will be on screening and initial evaluation of students on the current assessment wait list.
