Description
School District No. 27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) is accepting external applications from certified teachers (or teachers who will have their certification in place for September, 2024) in all curricular areas for both the 100 Mile House region (South Cariboo) and the Williams Lake region (North Cariboo). This on-call opportunity is ideal for candidates who require flexibility for their personal schedule.
100 Mile House and area schools include: Lac la Hache Elementary, Mile 108 Elementary, Forest Grove Elementary, 100 Mile Elementary, Horse Lake Elementary and Peter Skene Ogden Secondary.
Williams Lake and area schools include: Chilcotin Road Elementary, Mountview Elementary, Marie Sharpe Elementary, Nesika Elementary, Cataline Elementary, 150 Mile Elementary, Horsefly Elementary, Big Lake Elementary, Columneetza (Grades 7-9) and Lake City Secondary (Grades 10-12).
All successful candidates will have:
Current certification with the BC Teacher Regulation Branch and be able to produce a copy of their certification (or the ability to produce certification by the start date);
The ability to produce a BC TQS for salary placement;
The flexibility to be available for daily call out (the automated dispatch system calls out nightly from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and every morning from 06:30 to 08:00);
The ability to work collaboratively with staff to support student learning and success;
Strong instructional skills;
Strong organizational, communication and classroom management skills;
The ability to communicate well with students, staff and parents;
The ability to effectively use technology in the classroom setting.
The ability to provide three (3) supervisor and/or recent work related references (telephone and email contact information is required) as part of their application.
