Position Details:

SLPs work in several schools in the district to provide evaluation and remediation of a range of communicative difficulties in school populations (Kindergarten to Grade 12). As a member of a School Based Team, the Speech and Language pathologist will be required to work collaboratively and to provide consultative support to teachers, support staff and families. This position requires travel to various school sites. Applicants must be a member of the B.C. College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Post-graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology

Member of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of B.C.

Experience and comfort in providing in-service and workshops to parents, school and district staff

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Demonstrated skills and knowledge working as a Speech and Language Pathologist

Ability to work collaboratively with schools, home, and agency-based partners
