SCHOOL: Okanagan Falls Elementary School POSTING: #60 - 2024/25 POSITION: Elementary Prep & Kindergarten Coverage Teacher APPOINTMENT: 0.473 FTE Temporary DURATION or START DATE: January 6 to June 30, 2025 Outdoor learning is a priority of the school plan for Okanagan Falls Elementary School. Successful applicants would be expected to support this area. Qualifications Required: degree in elementary education; recent successful classroom experience teaching at the elementary/kindergarten level; ability to adapt curriculum, programs, and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students; ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness; knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level; effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills; ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
