SCHOOL: Osoyoos Elementary School POSTING: #65 - 2024/25 POSITION: Primary Learner Support & ELL Teacher APPOINTMENT: 1.0 FTE Temporary DURATION or START DATE: January 17, 2025 to Mid-April 2025 or return of incumbent (not to exceed June 30, 2025) Qualifications Required: education degree plus an inclusive education certificate or 5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapted curriculum; ability to lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans and Annual Instruction Plans in consultation with team members;ability to carry out norm-referenced assessments Level B; ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness; knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level; effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills; ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
