Mechanic: School District No. 53 (Okanagan Similkameen) is seeking a mechanic to join our team. Under the supervision of the director of facilities the mechanic provides journeyman level skilled mechanical services for district fleet and equipment.

Pay is $37.74 per hour and includes a competitive benefit package after completion of probation period.

Successful candidates must have journeyman certification as set out in the BC Industry Training Authority Act (or equivalent inter-provincial technical qualification) as: heavy duty mechanic with BC Commercial Vehicle Inspector certification OR truck/transport mechanic with BC Commercial Vehicle Inspector certification OR automotive mechanic with BC Commercial Vehicle Inspector certification with air brake repair endorsement and proven knowledge and/or previous experience working on electric buses.
