Teacher Teaching On Call Position (TTOC)
Commencing: ASAP
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- completion of a Bachelor of Education;
- certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification;
- recent successful teaching experience;
- strong organizational and classroom management skills with the ability and energy to motivate students and adjust instructional strategies accordingly;
- the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team oriented approach to teaching and learning;
- strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to communicate with students, staff and parents;
- strong interest in innovation and inquiry;
- strong formative assessment practices;
- experience with RTI (Response to Intervention) systems;
- ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning;
- strong classroom management skills;
- ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
The starting annual salary for a full-time School Teacher position ranges from $64,368 to $112,637, with placement in the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
