Int. Bilingual Atlassian Specialist to implement the Atlassian (Jira) Platform for our higher education client.


Location: Hybrid - Toronto (Ideally 1x per week on-site)

Duration: 1 month (possibility of short extension)

Hours: 7.5 per day (open to part time 2/3 days per week)


Overview: Under the direction of the PMO, this position is responsible for implementing the Atlassian Platform for the university. The ideal candidate should be able to consult with Agile teams on usage and adoption of Jira, plugins, APIs, workflows.


Responsibilities:

  • Configure Atlassian access
  • Configure and manage user permissions, groups, and roles in Jira Cloud.
  • Setup and configure projects, boards, workflows, and issue types. Customize Jira as needed for team workflows.
  • Consult on optimizing projects, templates and workflows
  • Configure and customize JIRA Service Management (JSM) to meet business needs and processes.
  • Administer add-ons and integrations like Confluence.
  • Provide technical support and training to users. Answer questions and help resolve issues.
  • Assist our user community in creating dashboards, reports and metrics.
  • Participate in Agile community groups to share best practices or make recommendations to optimize use of the platforms.
  • Participate to transfer ticket from the previous tool (Freshservice)
  • Documentation and Training
  • Document recommended future best practices.
  • Develop clear and concise documentation outlining best practices for the use of agile tools, tailored to the client's specific needs and objectives.
  • Deliver end user training on tools and processes


Must have skills:

  • 5+ years of experience administering and customizing Jira or similar issue tracking tools
  • Hands-on Agile experience using Jira for Scrum/Kanban
  • Expert knowledge of Jira features, workflows, permissions model, and
  • administration
  • Experience with supporting Support Operations, teams
  • Able to write clear documentation for internal and client use
