Intermediate Business Analyst with liquidity reporting experience to work with one of our major banking clients- 36989
Location Address: Toronto/Hybrid (3 days a week in office)
Contract Duration: ASAP until July 2025 (High Chance of Extension)
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Story Behind the Need: Backfilling a spot on the team
- Business Unit: The Global Cash Management team is working on a large scale migration project. Moving data from their current platform to a new in house tool.
- Project: Liquidity Risk Reporting team is responsible for reporting and managing liquidity and funding risk for the Bank. The incumbent will work with project manager, developer and IT partners to implement migration of LCR and NSFR regulatory and business line reports.
Typical Day in Role:
1. BAU monthly defects support:
• Collaborate with the reporting team to clarify, create and update the business requirements for the defects identified.
• Work with the IT team to ensure the functional specifications are in line with the business requirements.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the changes are implemented as per the requirements.
• Perform regression testing to support the monthly defects releases.
2. Liquidity Risk Reporting Project Support
• Understand the data structures along with the mappings and review various data mappings along the liquidity risk data flow.
• Write UAT test cases.
• Conduct UAT of data provisioned to support LCR migration.
• Conduct UAT of LCR contractual cashflows generated from liquidity risk cashflow engine.
• Conduct UAT of LCR report generated from reporting layer.
3. Documentation Support
• Create, update, and maintain business requirement document of different products for liquidity risk cashflow engine to generate cashflows used in LCR report.
• Create, update, and maintain product mapping logic from source system to liquidity risk data provisioning and enrichment layer.
• Update and maintain product mapping table from liquidity risk data feeds to cashflow generation module.
4. Relationship Management
• Collaborate and build rapport with Project Manager, other Business Analysts, reporting analysts and IT partners.
• Work with IT partners to help translate users’ requests into technical specifications, when necessary
Must-Have skills:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst
- Knowledge of banking products, as well as liquidity risk reporting required
- Experience with conducting UAT on data intensive reporting implementations involving technology changes
- Advanced knowledge in VBA, SQL and Microsoft Excel advanced functions.
- Advance expertise in MS Office suite of products.
Nice to Have
- Prior Financial Institution Experience
- Experience with large data programing preferred.
- Exposure to liquidity cashflow generator would be an asset.
Education:
•Undergraduate degree in business, finance or computer science is required
• MBA, CFA or accounting designation is an asset.
Best vs Average: The ideal candidate would have liquidity risk reporting experience as well as have prior experience with large data programing. A large part of the project will revolve around UAT so someone with a proven track record with UAT is preferred.
