Must Have

• 3-5 years of experience in Oracle and MS SQL administration
• 3-5 years of experience in VMware
• 3-5 years of experience in Azure and Windows Administration
• Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent
• Oracle Certified Professional or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience creating technical documentation and user guides
• 3-5 years of experience in security management (permissions, system security setup)

Nice to Have

• 2-4 years of formal education (technical school or university)
• 2-3 years of experience in database installation and configuration
• 2-3 years of experience in performance tuning and optimization
• 2-3 years of experience in backup and recovery strategies
• 2-3 years of experience in database migration and upgrades
• 2-3 years of experience in high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions

Description

The client is looking for a Senior Database Administrator with deep expertise in Oracle and MS SQL to manage, secure, and optimize their database environments. This role will support projects involving Microsoft Server, Azure, and VMware platforms from a system admin perspective, while ensuring optimal database performance, availability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Oracle and MS SQL databases
• Monitor and tune database performance using performance metrics and tuning techniques
• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies
• Configure and enforce database security standards (user access, encryption, permissions)
• Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides
• Execute database migrations and version upgrades
• Configure and manage HA/DR solutions including Oracle RAC and SQL Server Always On
• Conduct regular health checks and provide reports on database status
