Our valued client is seeking an Intermediate DevOps SME (5+ years) to support and guide the Scrum team from through a cloud transformation

1 year contract. Hybrid 2-3 days/onsite in Ottawa

As our client transitions to cloud infrastructure, they are looking for a DevOps SME to provide strategic guidance, explore vendor solutions, and conduct options analysis to shape the future of DevOps practices within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the DevOps SME within a Scrum team, providing expertise and leadership in DevOps best practices.
• Support the organization’s cloud migration strategy by evaluating tools, platforms, and vendors.
• Conduct thorough analysis of DevOps needs and recommend scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to define DevOps standards during the transformation process.
• Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks that support a cloud-native architecture.
• Offer consultative input and technical recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer/SME
• Experience supporting cloud migration or transformation projects.
• Experience evaluating DevOps tools, platforms, and vendor solutions.
• Experience leading options analysis and communicate recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong background in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible).
• Must hold a Enhance Reliability clearance

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with the following tools and technologies, Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible and Docker
• Prior experience working on enterprise-level digital transformation projects.
• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert).
