Intermediate Network Operations Support Engineer to support a client network solutions and network systems

Our client is looking for an Intermediate Network Operations Support Engineer to support a client network solutions and network systems.

Overview:

This role is focused on providing operational support alongside client teams, implementing and managing advanced network solutions, and ensuring the continuous smooth operation of network systems.

Must Have's:

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Ops Support
• 5+ years of Cisco networking technology (routing, and switching)
• Experience trouble shooting complex network issues
• Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or PCNSE)Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE)
• Network load balancing experience with F5 preferred
• Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, or Aruba
• Firewall experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, manage, and optimize advanced network solutions in a collaborative environment with client teams.
• Provide ongoing operational support for Cisco-based network infrastructure, with an emphasis on routing and switching (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and other Cisco platforms).
• Monitor network performance and resolve network issues proactively to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity, configuration, and performance issues.
• Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of network solutions based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to support network-related needs, including installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support network incidents and service requests by coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with best practices, standards, and security protocols across the network infrastructure.
• Continuously enhance technical knowledge and stay updated on the latest Cisco technologies and network trends.

Required Qualifications:

• Intermediate-level experience in Network Operations and support, with a focus on Cisco network technologies (routing, switching, and troubleshooting).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco network devices (e.g., Catalyst, Nexus, ISR routers, ASR routers).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network performance, connectivity, and security.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with client teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions and SD-WAN technologies
• Ability to manage and support multi-site network infrastructures
