Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto- Need to work from office twice a month (days flexible)

Contract Duration: ASAP to 03/25/2025 - Extension: Highly Likely

Schedule Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs per week

Story Behind the Need

• Business group: Client Engineering - Commerce Engineering
• Project: Customer Information System testing - working on a critical bank project
• Reason for request: New project requirement + backfill

Typical Day in Role:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Write moderate to complex code/ scripts to test systems.
• Design, develop and maintain a modular, extensible, and reusable test automation framework to enable continuous testing in an agile environment.
• Work closely with Team Lead, Software Testing, providing team and project status updates, escalating issues as needed (e.g., resourcing, training, etc.)
• Develop coding standards and testing approaches, enhance existing testing framework, and research/ implement new testing methodologies to best complement tech stack/ assets for the team.
• Work closely with Product Owner/ BSA to determine near-term and future plans for the team.
• Collaborate with Delivery Lead to plan milestones, successfully execute software delivery, and escalate issues as needed

Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of demonstrated hands-on and in-depth Test Automation experience- testing on both web and mobile applications
• 5+ years of test automation experience and in-depth knowledge of programming languages (Java required), frameworks, and utilities
• 2+ years’ recent experience with API testing using Postman

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience within FI

Best vs Average: Automation experience and Java experience are central to this role and will be prioritized when shortlisting.

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred

- 1st round: 1 hr Technical Interview with hiring manager and Automation Specialist

- 2nd round: 45 minutes interview with Director (behavioral)
