Our client in the telecom industry is looking for a Junior Network Operations Technician to support network expansion and commissioning activities for a telecom client - RQ00376

Location: Brampton - Field Work: To cover GTA East area (i.e. Scarborough, York region, Durham Region)

Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities:

• Provide network support and troubleshooting directly for clients, both onsite and phone support.
• Provide network support and troubleshooting Network IMTs, RSSI issues and support Network Technician team with day to day activities
• Support Network Expansion, commissioning activities, Call testing, work acceptance, 1023 inspections of New Build and Uplift work, Cisco insertion, Microwave hot cut etc..
• Physical and remote installation, maintenance and support of a wide variety of internet-related technologies, including DSL, CMTS, multipoint wireless and point-to-point wireless. .
• Onsite and Remote support for VOIP Telephone systems

Must Haves:

• 2 years working a wireless telecom environment.
• Must possess own vehicle as well as a valid driver's license and insurance (mileage will be provided .
• TCP/IP, 5G, LTE, GSM, MW
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills .
• Willing to work shifts and be available for rotating off-hour on call duties .

Note:

• Client will supply the laptop, phone and any other test equipment. They will also supply a hard hat, safety vest, nonprescriptive eye glasses and hearing protections.
• The contractor should have basic hand tools, screw drivers, wrench hammer, power drills, they may not use these on a daily basis but may come across times that they would.
• For PPE they should have safety boots and winter coat.
